BAREILLY: Members of a right wing outfit on Sunday burnt effigies of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sanjay Nirupam and Digvijay Singh, demanding that they should be booked under sedition for questioning the BJP-led central government on the surgical strikes across LoC.
On Sunday afternoon, a bunch of Hindu Yuva Vahini activists gathered outside Bareilly College and started raising anti-Pakistan slogans.

They also put an effigy, with posters of the leaders, on fire. As the dussehra is drawing close, the effigy resembled the demon king Ravana.
Jitrendra Sharma, who claims to be zonal in-charge of the little known outfit, said: “These leaders should be booked under sedition for their remarks on the surgical strikes.”
BJP has also staged a protest in the city against the Congress and burnt an effigy as a mark of protest against the remark of Gandhi.
Nirupam had accused the BJP of indulging in politics over national interest and tweeted: “Every Indian wants surgical strikes against Pakistan but not a fake one to extract just political benefit by BJP. Politics over national interest(sic).”
Gandhi had also accused Narendra Modi of milking political mileage out of Army's surgical strikes. He had said that the government was doing ‘dalali’ (trade) over the bloodshed by Indian soldiers.
Meanwhile, Kejriwal, while referring to some international media reports and an UN group observations, both of which questioned the authenticity of the strikes, had asked the prime minister to “unmask the Pakistani propaganda”.
