FC Pune City vs FC Goa Live Streaming & Preview, ISL 2016: Watch Online Telecast of Indian Super League on Star Sports, Hotstar and Starsports.com

Hello and welcome to our coverage as we bring to you match number eight of the Indian Super League. It will be FC Pune vs FC Goa and the match will be shown on the Star Sports network. It will begin at 7 pm IST on Saturday, 8-10-2016. The game will be played at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda-Goa. For the online live streaming of the match, click on the link here.

Both the teams will look forward to their first win as neither FC Goa nor FC Pune City have been able to record a win or a draw in their opening game of ISL 2016 and FC Pune City are yet to win their first away game this season and have not won any of their 5 past away encounters. In fact the only away win in their history has been against Atletico de Kolkata in the previous season of ISL. It is of prime importance that the players of both teams remain fit prior to their second game of the tournament on Saturday. Both the teams are looking to bounce back after losing their opening ties. FC Pune City lost 0-1 to Mumbai City FC while FC Goa lost to NorthEast United 0-2 and will try their best to prove themselves with a win today in front of their passionate home support. FC Goa looked good in patches against NorthEast United FC. They did not score against their rivals but Zico remains confident in his team’s ability to fight back. (ISL 2016 Schedule, Timetable, Fixture, TV Listings, Venues & timings of Indian Super League)

The bad news, however, is that the schedule of the Indian Super League is a crunched one and it is very difficult for players to remain fit at the face of that. FC Goa are facing a injury crisis upfront with injuries to their key players. Along with Victor Simoes, Darryl Duffy will also be missing the rest of the season due to a hairline fracture on the shin. Other strikers Reinaldo (ankle), Victorino Fernandes (groin), CS Sabeeth (not fit) are also not available for selection against FC Pune City. The injuries to the players means Zico is left with just Joaquim Abranches and Thongkhosiem Haokip at his disposal in the forward lineup. Spanish midfielder Jofre will also not feature for the Gaurs against FC Pune City due to injury.
FC Goa goalkeeper, Laxmikant Kattimani, too, has not been at the top of his form as he conceded two goals against NorthEast United in their last month, the first goal of which took place owing to an error.
FC Pune have no such injury concerns as they have a fully fit squad to choose from with Lenny Rodriguez and Jackichand Singh back to full fitness. Assistant coach Miguel remains confident that they will open their account soon, though their plans for the season went haywire after marquee Eidur Gujohnsen picked up an injury during pre season and was ruled out of ISL. He has now been replaced by former Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko who will be available for selection.

Predicted squads for today’s game are as follows-
