NMAT by GMAC: Score now accepted by XIMB-XUB for specific MBA 2017-19 admission; late registration closing Oct 12

Registration process with late fee for NMAT by GMAC is proposed to be closed on October 12, 2016 and the admission application for MBA at Xavier University Bhubaneshwar will close on December 10, 2016

After XIMB joined NMAT by GMAC, the scores of the exam will be accepted for admission to MBA at NMIMS, XIMB and 18 other management institutes in India

NMAT by GMAC exam scores will be accepted by highly ranked Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB) of Xavier University Bhubaneshwar for various MBA 2017-19 programmes. Earlier the scores of NMAT by GMAC were accepted by NMIMS and other 17 universities and institutes in India. Now this number of total universities and institutes accepting NMAT by GMAC score has gone up to 20 including NMIMS and XIMB. However, Xavier University, Bhubaneshwar would be accepting NMAT by GMAC scores for its specific MBA programmes and not for all the programmes.

Registration process with late fee for NMAT by GMAC is proposed to be closed on October 12, 2016 and the admission application MBA at Xavier University Bhubaneshwar will close by December 10, 2016.

Xavier University, Bhubaneshwar is one of the leading universities in India. For admission to its various MBA programmes in Xavier Institute of Management, till now it used to accept CAT and XAT scores. Besides, Xavier University also conducts XGMT for the candidates who do not appear in CAT or XAT. From this year onward XUB will also accept the NMAT by GMAC exam score for admission to following MBA 2017-19 programmes-

Xavier School of Human Resource Management (XaHR) – [MBA – HRM]
Xavier School of Rural Management (XSRM) – [MBA–RM]
Xavier School of Sustainability (XSOS) – [MBA – SM]
Faculty of Management (Urban Mgt. & Governance)– [MBA–UMG]

The NMAT by GMAC scores will not be considered by XIMB for admission to MBA in Business Management and MBA in Global Management.

Late Registration closing October 12
Online Registration process for NMAT by GMAC is closing on October 12 with late fee of Rs.300/- in addition to regular fee. NMAT by GMAC will be conducted in a 75 days test window from October 7 to December 20, 2016 as a computer based on line test with the facility of re-scheduling and 3 retakes.

After XIMB joined NMAT by GMAC, the scores of the exam will be accepted for admission to MBA at NMIMS, XIMB and 18 other management institutes in India. This will be the second NMAT by GMAC exam after acquisition of NMAT in March 2015 by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).

NMAT by GMAC 2016 allows 3 retakes after a gap of 15 days, candidates registering and applying for the exam should plan their exam dates accordingly.

NMAT by GMAC: Test structure
NMAT by GMAC will consist of 80 shall have same test components as earlier NMAT used to contain. The time allocation and number of questions will also not change and the entire exam will follow the earlier NMAT pattern

Conducted by GMAC, the NMAT by GMAC exam is currently accepted by 20 universities in India: SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Xavier University, ICFAI Business School (IBS), MISB Bocconi, Alliance University, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), VIT University, Thapar School of Management, BML Munjal University, Amity University, Woxsen School of Business Management, SRM University, Hyderabad Business School, GITAM University, Chitkara University, Institute of Management, JK University, Ansal University, Mody University, Shoolini University, Shiv Nadar University, Gitam School of International Business.
