Sonam Kapoor to debut in a Tamil film opposite Dhanush?

Soundarya Rajinikanth, who had previously directed and produced Kochadaiyaan, announced her second directorial venture, NEEK which is an acronym for Nilavukku Enmael Ennadi Kobum. The graphic designer turned producer and director is looking for new faces for her next directorial project and has even started taking auditions. While she has managed to rope in brother-in-law, Dhanush, for the lead role, the director has also roped in Bollywood's favourite fashionista, Sonam Kapoor for the female lead in the movie. The movie revolves around marital problems but we are yet to find out more details about this new film that Soundarya is working on. Though, the actress has not confirmed the news yet, but if everything goes well, Sonam Kapoor will be seen opposite Dhanush again. The actress has already worked in Raanjhanaa with Dhanush and hence, knows the actor well. So she will already have a friend who can guide her through the language and culture. It would be interesting to watch Sonam do a Tamil film. The actress has already left a mark in Bollywood after a mind-blowing performance in Neerja. Sonam Kapoor is currently shooting for Veerey Di Wedding with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Swara Bhaskar that will be produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor will not be the only Bollywood actress who will be doing a South Indian film. She will join Illeana D'cruz, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hansika Motwani and Deepika Padukone, who have done both Bollywood and South Indian films. Soundarya was recently in the news when she announced her divorce on Twitter. The actress dated her husband for a while before getting married but the two parted ways as they realised that they weren't compatible at all. They refused to agree with each other's opinions and finally decided to call it quits. In fact, the Superstar also tried to save his daughter's marriage but wasn't able to convince either one of them to stay together.
