Veteran producer Manish R Goswami, who has been in the TV industry since 1993, has as a solid track record of producing quality TV shows. When contacted, Manish spoke to us about the highlights of his career, so as to inspire the next generation of producers. He said, "My Journey has been very interesting in the entertainment business. I have learnt a lot of things and I know that besides hard work, luck plays a very important role in your life.
So, I would advise the younger generation of producers to never loose hope and to keep trying. Winning or loosing is not important. What is important, is that one needs to keep standing in the battlefield. Also, the ability to handle success just as well as failure is important to have a positive career."
Regarding the shows he has done over the years which he is close to, he says, "The show close to me is 'Parampara', because it was my first show. But I had a lot of fun making shows like 'Daraar', 'Adhikaar', 'Aashirwad', 'Aisa Desh Hai Mera', 'Kittie Party' 'Sarrkkar' and Kaisa Ye Ishq Hai". What was special though, was that all my shows were always conceived in a different genre and few of them had subtle, positive messages."
As far as the grown of television in India is concerned, Manish prefers the nineties to the current times. He says, "I think the quality of shows was better in 90's and early 2000. The stories and screenplays back then were more engaging and audiences were more loyal to shows."
Currently though, it is his new show 'Dil Deke Dekho', that is keeping him busy. " Our latest show 'Dil Deke Dekho' is a romantic musical comedy spread over three generations and shows how the characters approach love and life. The contrast between the three generations is the main driving force of the show. I am hopeful that people from all age groups will like the concept." Also, as far as the timing of his show is concerned, Manish feels that the success of a show does not depend on the time it is telecast, He says, "I think time slots don't make shows but shows make the time slots. If the content is engaging and gripping then audience will like the show irrespective of the timing."
We're sure the audience is going to love the new TV show.
