Maverick filmmaker A R Murugadoss released the teaser video that introduces one of the three characters Simbu is playing in his upcoming film Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan aka AAA. The teaser was released last evening and has been getting positive feedback as Simbu’s Madura Michael character sports a retro style.
“Wishing you all the best guys .. Congrats @iam_str @adhikravi .. The teaser rocks !!! [sic],” tweeted Murugadoss, along with the YouTube link to the video. While everyone seems to be pretty impressed by the presentation of Madura Michael, what seems to have gone unnoticed is that Simbu resembles young T Rajendar, his actor-director father.
With side-combed thick hair and beard, bell-bottom pants and unbuttoned shirts, Simbu looks like Rajendar from his old movies. Going by the teaser, Simbu seems to have nailed the vintage look and the role.
The teaser takes the viewers to the world of Madura Michael, which is reeling under violence and political enmity. However, the teaser also has a few lines from Simbu about friendship and love. For instance, he says he would give up everything in life, including his lady love, but friendship. The dialogue writers seem to know Simbu’s core fan group and have written lines to send them into a tizzy.
Recently, the actor revealed that he has been gaining weight in preparation for roles in AAA. The makers of the film also announced that they will be releasing three teasers introducing three characters of Simbu in the film. So there are two more to go.

The actor’s second role, Ashwin Thatha, has created quite a buzz, given that the first look picture of the character has a strong resemblance to Rajinikanth’s role from Padayappa.
Tamannaah and Shriya Saran, meanwhile, are the female leads in the film. AAA is directed by Ravichandran, who made his debut with last year’s adult comedy film, Trisha Illana Nayanthara which had music composer and actor GV Prakash in the lead. The Simbu-starrer is produced by Michael Rayappan under Global Infotainment banners and has music from Yuvan Shankar Raja.
