Nishad community opposes SP ticket to cousin of Phoolan Devi killer

Lucknow, Oct 7 (UNI) The Rashtriya Nishad Sangh in Uttar Pradesh has protested over the assembly ticket given to Sher Singh Rana by the ruling Samajwadi Party from Thana Bhawan assembly segment in Shamli district of the western UP.
Sher Singh Rana who has been given the SP ticket in place of Kiranpal Kashyap, is a close relatives of Pankaj Singh alias Rana who has been convicted for the murder of former bandit queen and SP MP Phoolan Devi.
Rana is presently lodged in Tihar jail.
