BELAGAVI: The government is mulling holding the
winter session at Suvarna Vidhana Soudha (SVS) from the last week of November, said speaker
KB Koliwad.
After visiting the SVS here on Thursday, he said the dates of the session are yet to be finalized but tentatively it will begin in the last week of November and continued up to December 15. A day will be reserved to discuss the Mahadayi water dispute and another day to highlight issues plaguing
North Karnataka region.
The government is spending around Rs 4 crore on the maintenance of
Suvarna Vidhana Soudha annually, he added. "We will try to make the building more usable. The open space surrounding the building will be utilized properly in the coming days," he said.
