Two persons were booked for allegedly cheating a Navsari-based businessman of Rs 71.55 lakh by promising him 10% monthly interest on investments.

SURAT: Two persons were booked for allegedly cheating a Navsari-based businessman of Rs 71.55 lakh by promising him 10% monthly interest on investments.
Navsari town police booked Sarfaraz Badshah and Shahnawaz Badshah for cheating Ejaz Sheikh over last one year.
According to police, Sarfaraz and Shahnawaz had assured Sheikh that if he invested money in share market he would get 10% monthly interest on the amount.

However, the duo did not repay the promised amount.
Despite persistent efforts Shekih was not able to extract his money from them.
So, he registered a complaint of cheating under IPC sections 406, 402 and 114 against Sarfaraz and Shahnawaz on Thursday.
Navsari police suspects that the accused duo could dupe other people also.
Navsari police inspector D N Patel told TOI, "We suspect more people could have been cheated by the duo. We have asked other people to come out and file complaints."
