Baiona, Lapurdi.   The Associations Antzinako and GHFPBAM (Généalogie et Histoire des familles Pays Basque/Adour Maritime) have organized a conference this Saturday, October 8 in Baiona – the Third Meeting of Genealogy and Local History that will gather genealogy and local history fans and interested persons from both sides of the Pyrenees, as well as neighboring counties and regions from Charente, Midi-Pyrenees to Cantabria, who were also invited to the event.

This year’s edition coincides with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the GHFPBAM, as well as the 10th anniversary of Antzinako.  The presence of genealogical and local history associations is confirmed, as well as the participation of local artisans who will contribute to create an interesting and enriching ambience.  Some commercial initiatives from the world of genealogy and the Basque Diaspora will also be present, including a stand by the Association Euskal Argentina, as well as through the exhibit Euskaldunen Argentina (Argentina of the Basques).
