Munger commissioner cancels leave of officials

Divisional commissioner Navin Chandra Jha on Thursday directed the district magistrates (DMs) of Munger, Jamui, Lakhisarai and Sheikhpura to impose ban on the transmission of messages or photographs on social media that might create communal tension during the festive season. The commissioner, who was reviewing the preparations of the district administration to tackle any untoward incident by anti-social elements, also cancelled the leave of the all the government officials concerned.
Jha also directed the DMs and the SPs to identify the mischief-mongers of their areas and put their cellphones on surveillance.
According to a source, at least 186 Puja pandals in Munger, 112 in Lakhisarai, 102 in Sheikhpura and 99 in Jamui district have been put up.
