Deputy Commissioner Doda Bhupinder Kumar today convened a meeting to discuss and finalize the arrangements for Red Cross Mela to be held at Doda.While speaking on the occasion, DC said that main aim of the mela is to generate awareness among masses regarding Red Cross, to give first aid training to the people, to generate revenue to be utilized later for welfare of the society. The main attraction of the event would be the Raffle draw, installation of stalls by various departments and distribution of caps and jackets to the volunteers and school children, the meeting was informed.DDC who is also the chairman of District Red Cross Society held threadbare discussions to finalise the arrangements for organistaion and successful conduct of Mela. Necessary directions and guidelines were passed on to all the departments to make the event successful. All the District and sectoral officers were asked to install the stalls of their respective departments for awareness of various schemes of the government.It was impressed upon all the officers to enroll themselves as life members of the Indian Red Cross Society and contribute financially for making the event successful.ADC Doda Mohd Hanief Malik, CPO Doda ,Yoginder Katoch, CMO Doda , Kulbhushan, General secretary Red Cross society Doda Dr Faheen Ehsaan besides others were also present in the meeting.
