~ 2 teams from Tata Power's Jojobera plant win Gold among 61 teams from various corporates ~

Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company, has always strived to excel in its operational performance and execution of projects. Continuing the commitment, the teams from Tata Power's Jojobera plant have won unprecedented accolades at the Quality Circle convention, held in Durgapur, recently. The team outperformed and won amongst more than 60 participating teams, representing various corporates.

The Tata Power QC teams, named, 'Black Diamond' & 'Achievers' qualified for the 'Gold' award by scoring more than 80% in the quest for excellence at the competition. The project title for team Black Diamond was Conveyor Belt Running Off Centre while team Achievers presented a case study on Difficulty in handling the CT fan motor during maintenance. The efforts of both the teams were highly appreciated by the elite panel of judges and the august audience at the competition.

Congratulating on the achievement, Mr. V V Namjoshi, Chief-Jojobera Station, Tata Power, said 'It gives us immense pleasure to celebrate the success of both our teams at the CCQC. Both the teams have raised the standard for others to emulate by scoring well over 80 percent, while also noticing the fact that the qualifying marks for GOLD has gone up this year. We are sure that our QC teams will continue to contribute towards improvement journey of Tata Power ad bring more laurels to our organisation'

The competition witnessed teams from major corporates competing against each other with innovative models and ideas. There were close to 61 teams representing companies like Jindal Steel, Durgapur Steel Plant, DVC Maithon, IISCO Steel plant, Bhilai Steel Plant, NTPC and others. The competition witnessed 9 Gold, 12 Silver and 40 Bronze awards being awarded to the participating teams.
