Kunwar Singh University (VKSU) will conduct counselling for BE.d course from October 17.
The decision was taken on Tuesday at a meeting which was presided over by VC
Leela Chand Saha and attended by examination controller Prasunjay Kumar Sinha and deans Dhyanendra Kumar Singh, Shiv Kumar Singh and Upendra Pathak, among others.
The VC on Wednesday said, "We had conducted an entrance test on September 6 and results were announced on September 20.
BEd course is available at SP Jain College, Sasaram, and on the university campus where there is a separate department which has 100 seats. There are 16 other private colleges affiliated to VKSU where BEd teaching is imparted. autonomy in admission and examination affairs, though according to a
Raj Bhavan directive issued in 2015, even private colleges affiliated to the university were asked to participate in a joint entrance examination and counselling. Six colleges which have altogether 550 seats for pursuing BEd, have agreed to join us in the counselling process which will start on October 17. Admission to 375 seats will be done according to the merit list, while the remaining 375 seats are reserved for SC/ST and OBC candidates. Everyday 100 students will be counselled.''
The university will not wait for the high court decision on private colleges' petition seeking autonomy in examination and admission affairs, the VC added.TNN
