Aldwych Capital Partners, a special situations boutique investment bank, announced today that Steven M. Cowan has joined as Co-Head of the firm’s Energy Practice. Based in the firm’s Houston office, Mr. Cowan will lead Aldwych’s activities in Energy and will build upon the firm’s capital markets and advisory capabilities in the oil & gas sector.

Mr. Cowan brings 20 years of experience in the natural resources and related sectors. He has executed capital markets and M&A transactions valued at more than $14 billion and has significant international transaction experience, having executed deals in Europe, Central and South America, and Norway. In addition, Mr. Cowan has significant expertise in originating, structuring, managing and executing structurally complex transactions. Mr. Cowan has worked previously in the energy investment banking groups of Jefferies, Deutsche Bank, Canaccord Genuity Inc., and Clarksons Platou plc, among others. Mr. Cowan holds a MBA from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago and a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
