6 hurt in SFI-ABVP clash

SHIMLA: Despite deployment of the police on the campus, students belonging to the Students Federation of India (SFI) and the ABVP again clashed in HP University (HPU) today in which six students were injured.

Despite deployment of the police on the campus, students belonging to the Students Federation of India (SFI) and the ABVP again clashed in HP University (HPU) today in which six students were injured. Twentytwo students have been arrested.

It was around 9.15 am that students clashed near the Summer Hill Chowk in the presence of police.

It was a coincidence that the clash took place when a NAAC team visiting the HPU arrived on the campus.

Seeing the students’ clash, the police intervened and prevented students from aggravating the situation.

Six students sustained minor injuries in the clash.
