Limited edit option to correct mistakes in submitted applications ends today October 5 at iimcat.ac.in.

CAT 2016: Limited edit option to correct mistakes in submitted applications ends today at iimcat.ac.in

Aspirants who had inadvertently made mistakes while applying for CAT 2016 could rectify their mistakes till October 5 . This year, the convener of IIM Bangalore Rajendra K. Bandi had announced that there would be limited edit option to correct mistakes in submitted applications today at the official website iimcat.ac.in. The option to correct mistake were available from October 1 to October 5.This year the candidates were  advised to submit their application form by September 27. Candidates need to keep a tab on the official website.

It is important to note that the format of the examination will be available on the CAT website from October 18,  2016. Candidates are advised to work on the tutorials which are available on the website, well in advance.  Applicants will be able to correct details like percentage of marks scored, work experience, and programmes selected.  The candidates can edit certain personal details like Name, Date of Birth, email id, mobile number in the CAT 2016 application form. If the candidates have made mistakes in these details, please note that you will not receive a refund or Admit Card for your registration. Prof. Rajendra K. Bandi, Convenor of CAT 2016, has expected that as per  the trends of previous years, there will be a huge surge in the number of registrations in the last 2-3 days, which will  increase the load on the servers, and will also potentially impact the server response time. CAT exam is primarily conducted for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc). Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 was conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad). The structure of the test has undergone a few changes. CAT is a computer based test which consists of 100 objective type questions. There are 3 sections of the test which include Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC), and Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DI & LR).  This year IIM Ahmedabad PGP has been awarded 16 while IIM Bangalore’s 2 year flagship PGP programme has been ranked 19 in the Financial Times Global Masters in Management 2016 ranking. ALSO READ: CAT 2016: CAT exam registrations to end on 22 September, new initiatives launched 

Candidates who want to appear for CAT  have to agree to a Non Disclosure Agreement at the time of the test. Computer based testing is a
proven and reliable process that is administered to tens of millions people each year and other top rated B-schools like FMS, SPJIMR, MDI, JBIMS, NITIE, IMI, IMT.  IIM Bangalore one of the most prestigious institute for management has also been ranked number 1 in the NIRF 2016 rankings of Government of India.
