Rs 1 lakh stolen from scooterist

PUNE: Two persons diverted the attention of a senior citizen and stole Rs 1 lakh from the boot of his scooter in Yerawada around 3.40pm on Monday.
The victim, Bajrang Pardeshi (60) from Dhanori, had withdrawn the cash from the bank and kept it in the scooter's boot. He was on his way home, when the duo chased him on a bike to tell him that someone had vomited on his shirt.
When Pardeshi stopped to clean up, one of the suspects opened the boot and fled with the cash bag.Pardeshi has registered a complaint with the Yerawada police.
