Two women, 1 man die in accidents in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: Three persons died in accidents in JP Nagar, Devanahalli and Pulakeshinagar since Saturday night. A 31-year-old marketing executive on Sunday succumbed to injuries he sustained after a truck hit his scooter the previous night in front of the Indian Air force Station Gate on Ballari Road.
Santhosh, 31, was heading towards Kempegowda International Airport on his Honda Activa scooter at 10.45pm when the truck hit the two-wheeler.
Santhosh fell on the ground and sustained leg injuries. He died in hospital. Truck driver Sheikh Fakruddin, 50, has been arrested.
In a hit-and-run case, a 52-year-old woman was killed after a Swift car mowed her down while she was crossing the road near Ragigudda Arch in JP Nagar on Sunday morning. Nagrathanamma was working in the house-keeping department of a private company near Jayanagar.
On Saturday evening, 52-year-old Rose Mary sitting in front of her house was killed after her neighbour lost control of his Mahindra Scorpio SUV and rammed her in Pulakeshinagar. Ajmal, the driver and private company employee, has been arrested on charges of causing death due to negligent and rash driving. tnn
