The parents of a Class XII student have accused the chairperson and the principal of RPS School, Narnaul, of deceiving them about the affiliation of the institute.

‘committing fraud and playing with the future of his son by presenting false information about affiliation of the school and place of conducting classes.

Nangal Choudhry’s Sushil Bhardwaj, whose son Aditya was enrolled in the school, filed a complaint at the CM Window and SP’s office, seeking registration of a case against the two for “misleading” him.

“The principal had told me at the time of admission that the school was affiliated to the CBSE and the classes would be conducted in Narnaul. Even the school prospectus claimed so. I deposited Rs 85,000 in fee for Aditya’s admission in the medical stream,” said Bhardwaj.

Initially, the school conducted classes in Narnaul. And later, the classes were shifted to another branch of the school in Mahendragarh, 55 km from Nangal Choudhary, Bhardwaj said.

In the meantime, he learnt the school was not affiliated to the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH), and not the CBSE. And it had recognition from for classes up to middle level.

“I approached the chairman and the principal three weeks ago. Instead of clarifying, the principal returned the fee and got my signature on a paper. I admitted my son to another school affiliated to the BSEH, as the last date for enrollment in CBSE schools had passed by then,” said Bhardwaj.

Aditya, he said, had been a student of the CBSE since the beginning. “I want action against the school for playing with the future of my son by presenting false information.”

School director Manish Rao said his school was affiliated to BSEH and the classes were conducted in Mahendragarh since beginning. “The fee was returned on Bhardwaj’s demand,” he added.
