NASHIK: Industries & Manufacturers’ Association (NIMA) wants the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) to reduce the industrial plot rates in new additional industrial estate coming up near Dindori. The demand came up during the meeting of industries and MLAs from the district, which had been organised by NIMA.
Mangesh Patankar, vice-president, NIMA said, “The rate quoted by MIDC for new additional industrial estate at Talegaon-Akrale in Dindori tehsil of the district are higher as compared to rates of industrial plots in other MIDC estates.
It has quoted Rs 2,300 per sq mtr for new Talegaon-Akrale estate, which is not affordable for the industries. It should be reduced by 50 per cent more.”It was decided during a meeting to take up the issue with the state government, shortly.
The MIDC is developing an additional industrial estate on 500 acres at Talegaon-Akrale, just 18 kms from Nashik city. The MIDC has already started infrastructural works worth Rs 47 crore, including constructing internal roads, constructing jack-well, pump house, laying of water pipeline between the new industrial estate and Palkhed dam for water supply etc. The new MIDC estate is expected to be ready within next six months.
