The motorcyclist took off, but lost control of the bike near McDonalds Road.

The rider, who has not been identified, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the motorcycle was allegedly stolen from an Epping property in July.

She said a search of the motorcycle resulted in police allegedly finding a quantity of drugs and a large amount of cash.

The man remains in hospital under police guard.
