Shankar Ehsaan Loy are in top form in this album as they go about recreating the folklore of Mirza-Sahiban in the modern-day context. So there are plenty of visuals of Rajasthani gypsies with electronic music playing and Gulzar's impeccable words that sum up such complex feelings in two lines flat. "Hota hai aksar...chot kahin lagti hai jaakar, zakhm kahin par hota hai...ishq mein" is trademark Gulzar.

Mirzya stars Harshvardhan Kapoor, Saiyami Kher, Anuj Chaudhary, Anjali Patil playing the four most significant characters. Veterans including Om Puri, Art Malik and KK Raina will be seen playing important supporting characters. The entire folklore of Mirza-Sahiban has been shot in Ladakh, while the contemporary love story plays out in Rajasthan.

Mirzya is Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's fifth Bollywood feature film, and he is collaborating with Gulzar for the first time. Gulzar is also the writer of the film, along with being the lyricist. Mirzya will hit the screens across India on October 7th.
