Officials said that the civil work on the stretch has been completed including the laying of viaduct. Installation of the new signalling technology and Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) are being undertaken and should be completed in the two weeks.
The work for the corridor, valued at Rs 845 crore, kick-started in December 2014.
The Kalindi Kunj-Botanical Garden corridor is part of DMRC's Magenta line which extends from Janakpuri West in Delhi to Botanical Garden in Noida. With this track in place, Noida will have two colour-coded lines—Blue line and Magenta line. Once the corridor is ready, commuters will no longer have to go to Rajiv Chowk Metro station to take the Yellow line (Huda City Centre to Samayapur Badli) as the corridor will form a ringed route and connect Botanical Garden station with Hauz Khas station via Kalindi Kunj, Jamia Millia, Kalkaji temple, Greater Kailash etc.
