After winning the opening Test in Green Park, Kanpur which was also the 500th Test match for Indian cricket team, India will eye their second consecutive test  win and try to wrap the three Test match series. India routed New Zealand in first test match by 197 runs and Ravindra Jadeja was adjourned man of the match for his all-round performance which included picking up five wickets in first innings and then scoring 50 valuable runs for India during the final innings of the match, though Ravichandran Ashwin stole the show in final innings by picking up the six wickets and not letting New Zealand settle. Kanpur pitch was a big advantage for India as it helped the spinners to create some real problems for New Zealand batsmen. India will play their second Test of the series in Eden Gardens which is the largest cricket stadium in India. The second Test match between the two teams is scheduled to start on September 30, Friday and may get over by October 04, Tuesday.

The match will start at 9:30 am IST. While India will try gain an upper hand in the three-match series, New Zealand will look for the revenge and will try to make a comeback and keep themselves alive in the competition. The squad for the Indian team will remain same as of the first Test match with just two changes as KL Rahul is out because of hamstring injury and being replaced by Gautam Gambhir and Ishant Sharma is being replaced by off spinner Jayant Yadav as the pacer isn’t available for second test and is recovering. Also Read: India vs New Zealand 2016 Schedule

India have never had the greatest bowling attack and will again look to improve on that front in the ongoing season. There is no doubt that at home, irrespective of the bowling, India should win both the Test series as well as the ODI series but they will be pushed if the bowlers are not in the greatest form.
