The National Commission for Women (NCW) member Rekha Sharma has suggested that policemen should be made to watch Hindi movie 'Pink' for them to develop gender sensitivity among them.

Chandigarh: The National Commission for Women (NCW) member Rekha Sharma has suggested that policemen should be made to watch Hindi movie 'Pink' for them to develop gender sensitivity among them.
Sharma was in Panchkula on Friday to resolve the complaints of women. She indicated that the police, everywhere in the country, tried to demoralise women complainants. "First of all women face problems in getting the FIRs lodged.
Then, such things are put into the FIR which may weaken the case and conduct of the woman is always mentioned," she pointed out. Expressing concern over the situation of women in Haryana, Sharma said they were receiving many complaints from the state.
She added that it was need today that all police officials were sensitized towards women and not make statements that could hinder them from approaching the police.
