Man booked for assaulting corporator

HYDERABAD: Saifabad police registered a case against former corporator Krishna Yadav for abusing and assaulting Khairatabad corporator Vijaya Reddy on Friday.
The incident occurred when GHMC workers under the supervision of Vijaya Reddy started clearing garbage at Budagajangam Basti in Khairatabad. The civic workers were attempting to clean up large heaps to of buffalo dung in Krishna Yadav's shed, who runs a milk business.On hearing of this, he reached the spot and picked up an argument with GHMC workers and Vijaya Reddy for trying to dispose the waste from the shed, police said. "Krishna Yadav used abusive language against the corporator and pushed her away. Based on her complaint, we registered a case against Yadav under Sections 509, 323 and 506 of the IPC," Saifabad inspector K Poornachander said.
Yadav lodged a counter complaint against Vijaya Reddy alleging that she abused him. Police have a made a general diary entry of the complaint and sent it for legal opinion.
