Man robbed of mobile phone worth Rs 35,000

A 39-year-old businessman, Mukesh Thakkar, was robbed of his mobile phone by two thieves at the junction near Tip Top Plaza on Thursday.

Thane: A 39-year-old businessman, Mukesh Thakkar, was robbed of his mobile phone by two thieves at the junction near Tip Top Plaza on Thursday.
Thakkar's car was parked at a signal when two individuals knocked on the car's window. They distracted Thakkar and flicked his mobile phone worth Rs 35,000 that was kept in the car.
"Initially an unknown person knocked on the window on the driver's side and later another person knocked on the window of the passenger seat.
Hearing the knocks, Thakkar rolled down the windows and got distracted which is when one of them flicked the phone kept on the passenger's seat," said an officer from the Wagle Estate police station.
The police said they will check if any of the CCTVs at the junction have captured the robbery. - Shrutika Sukhi
