A Lake Erie commercial fishing captain has been fined $20,000.
Paolo Adragna of Leamington pleaded guilty to 24 fishing violations.
A MNR conservation officer inspected a vessel called "Kimmy Sue" on October 1, 2015 and seized 76 yellow perch gill nets.
The Ministry of Natural Resources claims roughly half of the nets had undersized mesh.
Officials say they also found a log book that showed discrepancies between the logs and what was submitted to the MNR.
