Kangra, September 30

The Transport, Food and Civil Supplies and Technical Education Minister, GS Bali, today said the welfare of people was the government’s priority. At Nagrota Bagwan, the minister listened to the grievances of residents.

The Transport Minister said to check black marketing and provide benefits to consumers, the e-public distribution system would be implemented in the state. Computerised ration cards would be issued, Bali said.

He said women would be employed and preference would be given to widows.

The minister said, besides big projects, small public welfare projects needed to be undertaken. He directed the authorities to benefit the common man through government programmes.

The Technical Education Minister announced to connect Palha Chakloo panchayat with Patoola village within a month through a link road constructed at a cost of Rs 5 lakh. He said to construct the main gate of the Choogaira temple, a sum of Rs 50,000 would be spent.

The minister also sanctioned Rs 2 lakh for the construction of a community hall and Rs 3 lakh for roads.
