Retirees given warm send off

JAMMU, Sept 30: Director Agriculture Jammu, Sudesh Koul and ARE Devender Sharma were accorded a graceful and ceremonial send off by the staff and officers of the Directorate of Agriculture Jammu on their retirement today.
New Director Agriculture A K Malhotra, who took over, applauded the services rendered by Sudesh Koul to the farming community with great sincerity and dedication.
Warm wishes for a happy and prosperous life were also extended to other retiring officers and officials namely Bipan Sambyal, CAO Kathua, G D Gupta CAO Samba, Sheetal Singh SCA, Narinder Singh, JAEO Dansal, Som Raj JAEO Marh, Bhola Ram JAEO R S Pura, Dev Raj, JAEO Kathua, Tilak Raj Sharma JAEO Samba, Vijay Kumar JAEO Samba, Mohd Ali Zargar, JAEO Doda, Jamal Din, Beekeeper Ramban, Bodh Raj, Field Assistant Udhampur, Birpaul Singh PPO and Ghulam Rasool peon Rajouri.
The officers, officials and gardening staff of Floriculture Department Jammu bid farewell to Director Floriculture K K Sharma on his retirement from active service today. Official Incharge of Bagh-e-Bahu was also given farewell by one and all from the Department. All wished both for happy and healthy post retirement life.
A warm farewell was accorded to Dr C S Manhas, Joint Director (Farms) Sheep Husbandry Department Jammu who retired from Government service on attaining age of superannuation. Director Dr Sant Ram recalled the services rendered by the officer and wished him a happy and prosperous post retirement life.
Staff of Government Degree College Udhampur bid farewell to Prof Suram Chand HoD Geography on his superannuation. Besides Principal of the College Prof S S Bhalwal, N K Resutra, Principal GDC Jindrah, Prof Tara Nath, Principal GDC Ramnagar and many staff members shared their views and lauded the sincerity, dedication and devotion to duty of Prof Suram Chand. A memento and shawl were presented to him by the staff.
Block Development Officer, block Trigam Kishtwar, Susheela Sharma was given a warm send off by the officials of Block Trigam on her retirement and wished her a happy healthy and prosperous post retirement life. General public, Sarpanch and Panchs of the block attended farewell function.
Staff and students of Government High School Marh (Zone Dansal) accorded warm farewell to Headmaster Sharda Kumari, who superannuated today after rendering 35 years service to Education Department. Headmaster GHS Gundla and staff members of surrounding schools as well as other members were also present who appreciated the services of retiring Headmaster.
Students and staff of Government Middle School (Boys) Barnoti accorded warm farewell to Champa Devi, who retired from service after rendering 42 years unblemished service in Education Department.
Jammu University Non-Teaching Employees Union accorded warm send off to Head Assistant Puran Chand who superannuated today. Union president Pawan Singh hailed the contribution of Puran Chand. Other office bearer of the union namely Ashwani Bakshi, vice president, Vikas Langer, organizing secretary, Sunita Amla, Padam Shri Padamani, Joginder Singh, Niranjan and Jarnail Singh members of the union were also present on the occasion.
Office of the Joint Director Information Department bid farewell to Senior Mechanic Suresh Kumar, who superannuated after 38 years of Government service in the department. Joint Director T R Shastri applauded the role of Suresh Kumar and prayed for healthy and peaceful post retirement life.
Officers and officials of District Police Lines Jammu accorded warm send off to several retiring personnel at a function organized at DPL Jammu. SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta Sp HQs, Romesh Chander Kotwal DySP DAR, Gourav Mahajan, RI DPL Insp Sohail Rashid and other staff members were present. The farewell was given to SI Uttam Chand of Vijaypur, ASI Des Raj of Nandpur, ASI Kulbir Singh of Simbal Camp, HC Ram Lal of Maira (Akhnoor), HC Paramjit Singh of Miran Sahib, HC Harbans Singh of Narwal Piam, Sgct Amar Singh of Dumana, Foll Joginder Singh of Bhoper Khour and Foll Ram Saran of Tekri Dayala Sadar Jammu.
Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur accorded warm send off to two of its police officers namely ASI Kapoor Singh and ASI Shabir Ahmed who attained superannuation today. Farewell function was held at PTTI Vijaypur where Rs 50,000 were given to each retiring officer as retirement gift. SSP Ranjit Kunwar, Principal PTTI Vijaypur congratulated both the retiring officers and all wished them a happy and healthy life after retirement.
Warm send off was accorded to Tilak Raj, office secretary, PHE Drivers Cleaners Union who retired on the post of Chauffeur today Superintending Engineer PHE Mech. Urban Circle Jammu was the special invitee at the farewell function. President of the Union Mohan Singh, Kartar Chand Dubey, chairman and S Devinder Singh general secretary lauded the contribution of Tilak Raj. Prominent office bearer of the union present on the occasion were Naresh Kumar, Inderjeet Singh, T R Bawa, Joginder Singh, Romesh Lal, Chander Mohan, Charanjeet Singh, Balbir Singh, T R Sharma, Sukhdev Kumar, Subash Chander etc.
A farewell function was held at State Motor Garages Department to accord warm send off to Stores Officer Subash Chander and Chauffeurs S Ranjeet Singh and Tilak Raj Padha. The function was hosted by Abdul Qadir as spokesman of the union and attended among others by ministerial staff, technical staff and crew members of SMG. The function was chaired by SMG Deputy Director SMG Syed Muraif Andrabi as the chief guest. Every official blessed the retirees for their good health and prosperity in their future.
