Sometimes, you just have to shut down a heckler instead of ignoring him or her, especially when that heckler is pretty close to you in the dugout.

Here’s someone at Yankee Stadium  who called out Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell for putting in a less-than-optimal lineup — remember, they had just clinched the American League East — on Thursday against the New York Yankees, especially with the Cleveland Indians breathing down their necks while jockeying for playoff seeding.

Farrell had an extremely simple, very direct response:

“Why don’t you shut your [expletive] up!”
