PANCHKULA: A special CBI court has deferred the hearing in the sadhvi rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim here today.

A special CBI court has deferred the hearing in the sadhvi rape case against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim here today. The defence counsel presented a copy of stay order from the Supreme Court. The next hearing will be on October 13.

On September 26, the Supreme Court had ordered a stay on proceedings till October 4 after the defence counsel presented two applications. One sought to examine former CBI officer KL Raina as a defence witness and the second demanded handing over of statements of the alleged two rape victims.
