Shahabu’s bail cancellation: I always trusted God, says Chanda Babu
Mohammed Shahabuddin.
Patna: The man who lost three of his sons allegedly due to Siwan strongman Mohammad Shahabuddin sounded satisfied with the Supreme Court order to cancel the bail of former RJD MP on Friday.
Chandrakeshwar Prasad alias Chanda Babu (70), whose three sons were allegedly killed either by Shahabuddin or at his behest, said, “People in Siwan said I have turned into Shahabuddin’s greatest enemy after the cancellation of his bail on a petition filed by me, but I trusted God every time.”
Chanda Babu also said Supreme Court advocate Prashant Bhushan came in his life as an angel and he would always be thankful to him.

His two sons — Satish and Girish — were murdered on August 16, 2004 by bathing them in acid and later chopping off their body while elder son Rajiv Raushan, who was the sole eyewitness in the twin murder case, was shot dead on June 16, 2014, just three days before he was to depose before a court in Siwan in connection with his brothers’ murder.
“One day I have to die but I will live and die in Siwan. Now it’s up to Nitish Babu (CM) to see what action his government takes against Shahabuddin,” he added.
“Shahabuddin’s supporters might also attack my family,” he apprehended, adding that his wife Kalawati Devi has demanded death sentence to Shahabuddin for his criminal acts.
“A petition has been filed on behalf of my wife before the Supreme Court for moving Shahabuddin to some other jail outside Bihar,” he said.
Meanwhile, slain senior journalist Rajdeo Ranjan’s widow Asha Ranjan said, “Shahabuddin’s stature would not get affected if he is put inside any jail in Bihar.”She alleged that at the time his husband was murdered, Shahabuddin was in jail but he successfully hatched the conspiracy to get Rajdeo killed. “He must be shifted to Tihar jail from where court should run trial against him,” Asha said, adding that she has also filed a petition to transfer Shahabuddin outside Bihar.
