VCs, academics' body hails Indian Army surgical strikes in PoK

All India Association of Vice-Chancellors and Academicians (AIAVA) has hailed the surgical strikes by Indian Army on the terrorist launching pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Thursday.

Patna: All India Association of Vice-Chancellors and Academicians (AIAVA) has hailed the surgical strikes by Indian Army on the terrorist launching pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) on Thursday.
Expressing solidarity with PM Narendra Modi for taking the decision, AIAVA secretary general and former MU VC B N Pandey said, "The surgical strikes were a befitting reply to Pakistan. However, armed forces must remain on high alert to safeguard the country as well as to meet Pakistan's retaliatory action, if any," he said.
AIAVA working president Prof Gopinathan also congratulated the PM and Indian Army. "The whole nation is behind the PM at this critical juncture. Academics across the country are with our PM to boost the morale of our jawans on the borders," he said.
Gondwana University VC Prof Murlidhar Chandekar said Indian Army is second to none in the world. "Kudos to our commandos for making swift strikes in the PoK and their safe return in our country's territory," he said adding AIAVA gives full moral support to the PM and Indian Army for such a commendable job.
AIAVA vice-president and vice-chancellor of Assam University Prof K M P Barua and Prof Mujtaba Khan of Jamia Milia University also hailed the Indian Army action in PoK. "Academics and teachers of all universities are with the Modi government to stamp out terrorism forever," they said.
Prof Prema Jha and Prof Lokesh Shekhawat of Rajasthan also echoed the same feelings and assured to Indian Army and the PM full support of the academics.
