Insider Slashes 65,000 Computer Science Shares

- By Kyle Ferguson

Paul Saleh, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Computer Sciences Corp. ( CSC), filed a Form 4 with the Securities and Exchange Commission selling 65,000 of his company shares for $50 per share on Sept. 19. Saleh now owns 86,592 shares.

Since the trade the company's market price has gained an estimated 4.92%.

Computer Sciences is an American multinational corporation that provides information technology (IT) services and professional services. The company serves commercial and international public sector clients, helping them solve their toughest challenges by modernizing their business processes, applications and infrastructure with its latest technology solutions. The company provides cloud, cybersecurity as well as big data to help improve its clients businesses.

Computer Sciences has a market cap of $7.4 billion, a price-earnings (P/E) ratio of 107.59, an enterprise value of $8.87 billion and a price-book (P/B) ratio of 3.71.

It's possible that Saleh slashed his holdings because the company's total revenue of $7.1 billion has decreased by an estimated -9.7% annually since March 2009; it has gone from $16.740 billion to $8.199 billion over the previous trailing 12 months. Computer Sciences' revenue per share has also been in long-term decline. Since March 28, 2009, the company's revenue per share has declined from $109.61 per share to $58.37 per share over the previous trailing 12 months, a decrease of 8% annually over the previous 7 1/2 years.

Paul Saleh

Saleh has more than 25 years of corporate finance experience. He has worked for Gannett (GCI) as the CFO, he served as the CFO for leading brands including Walt Disney International and Sprint Nextel and he also served as the executive vice president and CFO of Nextel Communications from 2001 to 2005. Salah holds a Master of Business Administration with distinction in Finance; a Master of Science in Computer, Information & Control Engineering; and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all from the University of Michigan.
