The Ministry of Shipping has appointed P Raveendran, IRTS, as Chairman, Chennai Port Trust (ChPT). He took charge on Friday. He was earlier Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway. Prior to that, Earlier Raveendran was Chief Freight Transportation Manager with Southern Railway. He had also worked in various senior capacities in Southern and South Western Railway and also as Group General Manager, Concor, says a ChPT press release.
