NEW DELHI: Suspended Rashtriya Janata Dal partyman and Bihar MLA
Raj Ballabh Yadav has been granted bail in a rape case by the Patna High Court, ANI reported.
In April, Yadav was named as one of the main accused in a charge-sheet filed by Nalanda Police, after he allegedly raped a minor girl at his Biharsharif residence on February 6. The charge-sheet also contained the names of a woman - Sulekha Devi - and her relatives, who were accused of supplying girls to the
RJD legislator.
Yadav actually turned himself in at a local court in early March. He'd been evading arrest for a month after he was named in the FIR, but had surrended fearing that many of his properties might be confiscated.
The RJD suspended him on February 14, just a day after his arrest order was issued.
