Rangers playmaker Josh Windass will return to training on the eve of Saturday's Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Partick Thistle.

The 22-year-old has missed two games with a hamstring problem but could face the Jags. Midfielder Jordan Rossiter, however, is still a week to 10 days away from shaking off his calf strain.

Joey Barton will again be missing from Mark Warburton's line-up having been suspended following a training-ground bust-up.

Provisional squad: Foderingham, Tavernier, Hill, Kiernan, Senderos, Crooks, Wilson, Wallace, Halliday, Kranjcar, Holt, Windass, Miller, McKay, Garner, Waghorn, Forrester, Dodoo, Hodson, Bates, O'Halloran, Gilks.
