Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals why Geet from Jab We Met became so popular!

We are sure that Bebo will agree that Jab We Met was a major turning point in her career. We still adore this Geet but didn't know the reason behind this was someone else.

After Deepika Padukone and her good friend designer Anaita Shroff Adajania made their appearance on Vogue’s BFF, it was the turn of another actor – designer duo. Yes we are talking about Kareena Kapoor Khan and her best buddy Manish Malhotra. There were many interesting revelations which the actress made throughout this show and one among them took us by surprise. Kareena was firm enough to give the credit to Manish Malhotra for making her character of Geet in Jab We Met so popular. Now while she gave credit to the movie’s director Imitiaz Ali for sketching the character of Geet in first place, she was quick to add that Manish should be applauded for making her look so lively. Bebo said, “When we did Jab We Met, you have to give Manish this credit. The entire outfit was Manish’s idea. He told Imtiaz that they should put a film print on her t-shirt and I should wear this t-shirt and Patiala." She further added, “The idea of printing the poster of legendary ‘Mughal-e-azam’ film was also his idea. He said, it will look amazing, Bebo and he decided that he should put Mughal-e-azam on the t-shirt! And it became a rage!” Interesting, isn’t it? Don’t we still love Bebo from this iconic movie which was unfortunately the last time we saw Shahid and her romancing on screen? This was their first release post the break up and co- incidentally audiences loved them in it. Their earlier movies like Fida and Chup Chupke which they did together while they were dating, couldn’t impress the audience.

Deepika too had some really cool stuff worth sharing while she was the guest on this same show. When asked who’s a better dancer between Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor, she was quick to pick her current beau. In fact Anaita was the first person in Deepika’s life whom the actress revealed about her state of depression.

We like the fact that these relations have developed over the time. With Manish and Kareena, it was the designer who already knew about Bebo’s pregnancy way before she announced it officially.
