New Delhi, September 30: A day after surgical strikes were carried out by Indian Army in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called a high-level meeting to discuss the aftermath of the attack. In the high-level meeting chaired by Nawaz Sharif the Prime Minister is expected to put the collective response of his country to the challenge posed in front of him, Radio Pakistan reported. The Cabinet-level meeting has already started to review the situation on the Line of Control (LoC) in the wake of the surgical strikes carried out bu Indian elite force – para commandos – who were para-dropped at terror base and destroyed around seven launch pads. During the operation around 35-40 terrorists and their supporters were killed and there no Indian’s were injured. Sharif said, “We will continue to support our Kashmiri brothers with the full force of diplomacy and moral support”.

According to reports, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has given full authority to the Pakistan Armed Forces to respond to Indian provocation at the LoC. During the cabinet meeting, the members reiterated to resolve and defend the nation at all cost. Pakistan’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said support to the struggle of the Kashmiri people would remain their first priority. On Thursday around 24 para-commandos were para-dropped at terror sites around 3-20 km’s away from Line of Control. Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh, Director General of Military Operations claimed that the strike was carried out on terror launch pads which were used by Pakistan’s homegrown terrorist who attacked Uri baser camp in Jammu and Kashmir. On September 18, four militants attacked the Indian logistic base at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir in which 19 soldiers were killed and more than 30 were injured.
