BHOPAL: Sharing a restaurant table with other customers cost a man dearly. On Wednesday night, Rajesh Mishra, a resident of old Sindhi Colony, went to a restaurant for dinner as usual. However, the restaurant owner and his security guards abused and confined him in the restaurant. They also refused to let him leave before he cleared bill of two other customers he had shared the table with.
It was only after a team of cops reached the restaurant that he was rescued.
Hanumanganj police who registered a case, said that Mishra took a vacant seat on a table occupied by two customers. The two finished their dinner and left without clearing their bill. When Mishra asked for his bill, he was shocked to see the amount as it included the due amount of the other two as well. He refused to pay and asked for a separate bill on which the restaurant owner, Jaiswal insisted that the two were with him and started abusing him. He also told his security guards to down the restaurant shutters.
Confined in the restaurant, Mishra managed to send an SOS to 'Dial 100.' A team of the cops rushed to the restaurant. As soon as it reached the spot, the security guards at the restaurant opened the gates and let Rajesh out. Hanumanganj police have registered a case. The restaurant owner is still at large.
Man held for forgery: A man has been booked for forging two cheques to increase their payable amount from Rs 6,125 to Rs 66,125 and presenting them at Arera Hills branch of State Bank of India on Thursday. A case has been registered at MP Nagar police station. Police said, the accused, identified as Brijesh Mohan Chouhan presented the two cheques of Rs 66,125 each of UCO Bank's Habibganj branch and withdrew Rs 1,32,250. Bank manager Ashok Khilnani registered a case of forgery against the accused.
