The front end of the GT-PHEW is inspired by design cues of XR PHEW II concept showcased at Geneva Motor Show in 2015. The rear bumper is tailored to look like a skid plate. The light bar stretches across the rear which houses tail lights.
The GT-PHEW concept is powered by 2.5-litre petrol engine and a 25kWh battery. The powertrain consists of Mitsubishi's triple motor PHEW system.
The range of the SUV with only electric power is 120km, but when the conventional engine powers in, the range extend to 1200km. The SUV is also equipped with Super All-Wheel Control all-wheel-drive technology.
The interior of the concept SUV is described as the horizontal dashboard. With chrome strips which help to give a more spacious feel. The centre console with burgundy leather trims to match the exterior. The instrument panel is placed in the middle. The SUV also gets virtual mirrors from the high definition rear facing cameras.
The GT-PHEW gives us an idea of the design of Mitsubishi's future models which may enter production rather than diminishing as a concept.
