Final five have an 'alpine feel'

Struan Glen, Enniskerry

Struan Glen

Struan Glen was launched last March consisting of what the agent terms "alpine feel" detached family homes. Of 11 in total, the final five come to market now, with completion dates by this November.

Built by Stoneville Developments, the four-beds are laid out over three floors and all are slightly different, ranging from 1,873 - 2,242 sq ft and priced from €720,000 to €785,000 depending on aspect and size. They are built in blocks of three, using a mixture of red-brick and render with smart charcoal trim. There are cobble-lock driveways, open frontages and plenty of landscaping around.

This is the most significant development in Kilternan in 15 years and with large sites under construction in Stepaside and further down near Sandyford, not to mention the massive Cherrywood demesne, Kilternan still retains an air of 'up the mountains' about it.

The properties themselves are traditionally built, with a kitchen/dining/sitting room to the rear, with an island unit and full size doors accessing the back garden.

There's a separate living room up front, with a guest WC in the middle. On the first floor, there is the second sitting room along with the master bedroom (this effectively makes it a fifth bedroom, if preferred). The top floor has the three remaining bedrooms and family bathroom.

Kilternan, although mountainous, is handy for both the M50, the Luas, Carrickmines retail park and, thereafter, Dundrum and Sandyford. There are plenty of sports amenities around the vicinity.

There's a virtual 'tour' of the house at www.struanglen.com but you might get dizzy if you toggle the arrows too fast.
