Skeeter has lived at In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary for four long years.  He was extremely shy, which made finding the perfect home for him a bit of a challenge.

Finally, when one family saw Skeeter listed on an adoption site, they just knew he was the dog they wanted.  When they called and spoke with Debbie Clark, Director of Hope Animal Sanctuary, she explained how shy Skeeter is, but they were not deterred.  While on vacation in May of 2016, they drove 8 hours out of their way to meet him and fell in love right away.  Although they were not able to take him back at that time, they promised Skeeter they would be back for him.  In August of 2016, they made good on their promise!

Skeeter is now a much loved part of that wonderful family.

One family member  had this to say about him, “Skeeter is very playful.  He has decided he likes socks and stole each one as I put it on the bed. He is the first one up stairs for playtime in the morning”
