Ensure water tank cleaning: Stokes

Taking a serious note of contaminating of water tank in Government Senior Secondary School, Kakkadhatti in Solan by some mischievous elements, Irrigation and Public Health Minister Vidya Stokes called a meeting of senior officers of I&PH, Home and Police departments here today. The  minister directed the officers to strictly monitor water tanks and no such untoward incidents should happen. 

The minister also asked the officers to ensure regular cleaning of the tanks to maintain the quality of drinking water. The minister also directed the police department to investigate the matter speedily and take strict action against the guilty. 

Sanjay Kumar, DGP, informed the minister that an FIR had been lodged and investigation was going on in the matter.
