Wynberg Allen School lifts quiz trophy

Mussoorie, September 29

Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie, lifted the trophy and a cash reward of Rs 5,000 after winning the national quiz competition “Oak Uitrus” at Oak Grove School here today.

Army Public School, Birpur, Roorkee, won the runners-up trophy and a cash prize of Rs 3,000 while Oak Grove School lifted the second runners-up trophy and a cash prize of Rs 2,000. 

Vaishnavi Shree of Oak Grove School bagged the first prize for giving maximum answers. Viraj of St George’s College, Mussoorie, and Moraz Arif of Dayawati Modi Academy, Rampur, bagged the second and third spots, respectively.

As many as 30 schools from across the country participated in the quiz which was conducted by the renowned Quiz Master Gaurava Yadav. Questions related to cultural practices, general awareness and current affairs were asked during the quiz here.

JP Pandey, Principal, Oak Grove School, said the  objective of the programme was to help students to improve general awareness and prepare themselves to face challenges of competitive world.
