Woman accuses cop of rape

AGRA: A 25-year-old woman of Aligarh’s Jamalpur Siya village has accused a UP police constable of rape on the pretext of marriage.
According to the complaint filed by the woman, the suspect, Babloo, who is in Lucknow, but is a resident of the same village, had developed sexual intimacy with her over the last five years on a promise of marrying her. However, lately he had started distancing himself and had flatly refused to keep up his promise.
The woman also alleged that the accused had threatened to kill her, if she disclosed their relationship to anyone.
Talking to TOI, SSP, Rajesh Pandey said an inquiry has been ordered into the complaint.
