Rotary Club of Venugram targets collecting 1,000 units of blood on Gandhi Jayanti

BELAGAVI: Rotary Club of Venugram- Belgaum has embarked on challenging task of collecting 1,000 units of blood by donors on October 2, commemorating birth anniversary of father of the nation. President of the Club Vikram Jain and event chairman DB Patil, briefing about the event to the media persons here on Thursday said blood collected during mega blood donation camp will be handed over to Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS), Mahaveer Blood Bank and KLE Hospital.
Event will be held at Mahaveer Bhavan near Goaves from 9am to 4pm. DB Patil said event is being sponsored by Oriental Insurance Company, Belagavi divisional office. Objective behind organizing this camp is creating awareness among public on the importance of blood donation, Patil said. Office bearers of the club- Nagaraj Bhat, Mahesh Porwal, Hemendra Porwal and Mahesh Angolkar were present.
