As she moves forward with divorce proceedings, it appears Angelina Jolie has also moved to a new residence in Malibu, one owned by action-movie director Bryan Singer, Variety reported Wednesday, expanding on the original Sept. 24 scoop by gossip site TMZ.com.

“The ocean-view property, owned by ‘X-Men’ writer/director/producer Bryan Singer who bought it in December 2010 for $8.5 million, is hidden behind high gates and privately enshrouded in a thicket of tropical landscaping and mature shade trees,” Variety reported.

“Privately positioned at the end of a long driveway and outfitted with a comprehensive home automation system, the Bali-inspired 4,409-square-feet residence, as [sic] four bedrooms and four bathrooms plus a separate one-bedroom and one-bathroom guesthouse perfect for housing Miz Jolie’s round-the-clock security detail.”

News of the house rental comes as a source close to Ms. Jolie denied to People magazine that movie star was planning on making her permanent residence in London following her divorce to husband of two years Brad Pitt.

The couple, who have six children together, had been together since 2004. In her divorce filing, Ms. Jolie has reportedly asked for the court to grant her sole custody of the children.
